What's your History?

The beginnings of Borussia Dortmund Panama date back to 2016, when a German resident in our country decided to create a group to meet and watch the team's matches. Between 2017 and 2018 the first groups appeared on social networks supporting the team. In May 2020 two fans of the team decide to gather in a WhatsApp group all Borussia Dortmund fans in the country and use this as the start of the Fan Club. The original group consisted of 14 people and in less than a week the team accredited us as the first official Fan Club in Panama. From there, the group has grown and over time has participated in different team activities and of course has supported the team in every game they have played.

Why do you love BVB?

Borussia Dortmund is more than a soccer team; it is a family. From day one, you feel part of the team. It is one of the few soccer teams that transmit values such as respect, trust and of course the courage to believe in your ideals. Things like the Yellow Wall, the Westfalenstadion (the best stadium in the world) "You Never Walk Alone", the mascot Emma and the yellow and black colors make you fall in love and invite you to be part of the team.

What's your most memorable BVB-Moment?

One of the team's most memorable moments was the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League campaign. In Panama, all the team's matches were broadcast and many of the members of the group became fans by watching that campaign. Victories against Shakhtar Donetsk, Malaga and Real Madrid are the most memorable. For the older members, the victory against Juventus 3-1 in the UCL final marked the beginning of the road to team fanaticism. The DFB Pokal 2017 and 2021 victories were moments that were celebrated in style and reminded us that when you truly support, every victory is enjoyed to the fullest.
