What's your History?

There were some fans decades ago in Japan. BVB became popular especially BVB won the Champions League in 1997 and BVB won the Meisterschale in 2002. Rosický also got fans in Japan. But at that time, it was a little bit hard to watch matches and get information written in Japanese.

A decisive event was the signing of Shinji Kagawa in 10-11 season. This makes it easy for Japanese people to watch matches and get information, because Japanese played at BVB. His performances were impressive enough to drew Japanese football fan’s attention. We were fascinated by fabulous performances of Shinji. Before we know it, we fascinated by BVB itself. This is why there are still a lot of fans, even if Shinji left BVB.

We held watch parties and fan meetings at the end of season. But they are not official events. Finally, we established official fun club in 2020.

Why do you love BVB?

Because there is Echte Liebe that we have!!

What's your most memorable BVB-Moment?

Our most memorable moment was Asia Tour 2015. It was second time for BVB to visit Japan. We welcomed the squad including two Japanese players with enthusiasm. We really enjoyed the match against Kawasaki Frontale, most terrific club in J league now. Because it was almost for the first time for almost Japanese fans to watch BVB at a stadium. Shinji and Mitsuru scored, massive victory. It was the best night for us. Asia tour 2017 was memorable moment for us, too. We enjoyed special time with our legend, Lars Ricken and Karl-Heinz Riedle.

Since it’s not easy for us to visit Dortmund from far east, Asia tour is precious for us.
