Tradition and the present – the new BVB home shirt 2022/23

19 December 1909: We look through the windows of the Hall of Mirrors in the “Wildschütz” restaurant and see how 18 young men founded the Ballspielverein Borussia at the Borsigplatz as a product of rebellion. Despite all obstacles the founding members didn’t let themselves be dissuaded from their intention and thus laid the foundation for the values of the club.

More than 100 years later, we swing from the birthplace of BVB to the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. We see the new home shirt for the 2022/23 season and spot: tradition and modernity – and the windows of the “Wildschütz”. They are incorporated into the shirt as a pattern and connect the past with the present.

The self-determination with which our club was founded behind those windows is still part of our DNA today. Since day one, we have been acting on our own strength and the strength of the community. The neck of the shirt features the lettering “Borussia verbindet” (Borussia unites). The lettering is our reminder that we can overcome all odds if we stick together. We want to fight together for our own goals, because: Borussia unites – people, generations, tradition and the present.
