Marco Rose: "We are disappointed because we wanted to win the game. Overall, we witnessed a high-class game. But we made too many simple mistakes over the 90 minutes. Nevertheless, we enjoyed really good phases in the game. After making it 2-1 Bayern were there for the taking but then we conceded the third goal. I think I saw a lot of good things from my team. Nonetheless, we did a few things wrong that led to our loss. We have to and want to work on those."



Marco Reus: "Bayern are a classy team, of course. They also possess a certain quality that you can't defend for 90 minutes. But we were responsible for the goals we conceded. Nevertheless, we didn't have the feeling that we didn't have a chance in the game. I thought we played okay. The aggressiveness was there. You have to have that. If we don't play aggressively and don't make fouls, it's of no use. We have to play with energy, that's what we did, even if we overdid it sometimes. We lost the game. I'm sad, of course, but the way we battled was okay for me. It's always a prestige duel. We really wanted to win because it was a final and there was a trophy to be won. That's why we are disappointed."

Gregor Kobel: "We actually played a very good game. From the beginning to the end we fought like hell. In the end, Bayern was a bit more cool-headed. They played out a few situations very well and converted their chances really well too. We were on the same level as them the whole game. We showed today that we can more than compete with them. With a bit more luck, we could have even won the game. Nevertheless, we take a lot of out of the game. We are on the right road"
