"They have used the weekend to train. We have used the weekend to gather a lot of emotion, euphoria and energy." Sporting director Sebastian Kehl said that and much more besides following the 5-1 victory against FC Augsburg.

Sebastian Kehl on the match and the changed starting line-up: "I had the feeling from the beginning that the lads who were out on the pitch today were really keen to showcase themselves. They approached the game in a highly motivated and professional way and then played themselves into a bit of a frenzy. They took the lead early on and had really good phases of possession."

…on Marco Reus: "When you see how he was cheered today, it shows the importance that he holds at the club. He is one of the greatest players that the club has ever produced. It was not easy to take this joint decision. He showed the fact he still wants to play football with a really good performance, a goal and two assists today. Marco emphasised in his statement that he still wishes to achieve the maximum success this season. It serves as additional motivation for Tuesday. We want to achieve the maximum and give him a fitting send-off on the final matchday."

…on Kjell Wätjen: "We've thrown him in now. He was slightly nervous. But the way the team helped him and the way he quickly settled into the game himself gave him confidence. He was involved in many counter-attacking moments, demanded the ball time and time again and delivered an assist. He had a great deal of belief in himself. Things worked very well in midfield alongside Felix (editor's note: Nmecha). A debut doesn't get better than that."

…on the return fixture in Paris: "They have used the weekend to train. We have used the weekend to gather a lot of emotion, euphoria and energy. We know what awaits us there. We will be well-prepared. PSG will attack and have the self-belief they can seal the deal at home. It'll be a tight affair and we will need an outstanding performance. We'll have to suffer and we'll have to help each other out. If we show the footballing elements that we showed on Wednesday in Paris on Tuesday too, we will have a very good chance of heading to Wembley. PSG respect us – we've earned it."
